Install Network Simulator 2 ( NS2) Within 2 Minutes

Hi Friendssss.......Now You can Install NS2 in Ubuntu within Two Minutes..No tedious task of Changing environment and all etc.. U just Download the link(.rar file) Provided below.. and Extract the Files and Just Double click on them ..thats it Dudes.. now you have installed Ns2 in Ubuntu in two Minutes.. to Check..it got installed or not just go to terminal and type ns then you will get % Symbol just exit the terminal.. to run a Tcl file go to terminal and type ns example1.tcl.....wow...... now U can see the Nam animator.. Congratsssssssss....

    Hello, I have been working on NS2 using tcp and udp as my main agents when writing my tcl scripts. but i have encountered a difficult process in implementing dccp(datagram congestion control protocol),sometimes it is required for me to download patches but this patches do not compile with ns2 properly. Can you kindly assist me in resolving this problem and if at all you can create an extracting file same as the ns2 installation. This problem has drained so much of my time,your help will be very appreciable.

    Dear friend,
    Thank a lot for your good advices in my previous problem. My problem is solved. But i have a new problem. I want to change parameters of a RED queue during the simulation but it seems that some parameters can be modified only before starting the simulation, not dynamically, while the simulation is in progress. For example the following subroutines works before $ns run command but it do not change the behavior of the queue during the simulation( I want to change maxthresh_ and thresh_ after $ns run command):

    proc setREDParameters { redQueue MINth MAXth PER_MaxP Wq } {
    $redQueue set thresh_ $MINth
    $redQueue set maxthresh_ $MAXth
    $redQueue set q_weight_ $Wq
